Jupiter squaring Saturn in 2024 and 2025

Speaking of Jupiter, from August onwards we're in for a triple square between Jupiter and Saturn.
Here‘s the general baseline:
Jupiter and Sature were in a nice sextile in Februar and March of 2024.

First square: August 19/20
Second square: Christmas Eve 2024
Third Square: June 15/16, 2025 (Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Aries)

The first two squares will feature Jupiter in its exile and Saturn in Pisces
The last square happening in 2025 will have Jupiter in its exaltation and in Saturn‘s fall, while Saturn will be in fall, in Aries
It‘s a superior square, Saturn will dominate Jupiter

It‘s one of the major transits this year, since it's the opening square in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle after both met at zero degree Aquarius in December 2020.
Pluto is lingering right around that zero degree of Aquarius, which adds another layer to this new chapter in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle.

Maybe someone is willing to pull up the event charts?

Thank you @Penguin Trauma. :giggle:

The general meaning of Jupiter Saturn is a good point to start with.

The seeding moment took place when both were conjunct in Dec 2020 at 0 deg Aquarius. Around this time a change of morals, philosophies, faith, ideologies and ideals began both collectively and personally. These two planets conjoining indicates that we have faced the limit (Saturn) of Jupiterean realms and from hitting those limits the initiation of a new way of things arises.

This is a moment to go back in time and think about what has changed in terms of ideals, morals, philosophy, faith, religion etc. since the end of 2020. Be it on a global or personal level.

I think I‘ll take some time this weekend to do exactly that. Could be a good way to get the most out of this transit.

Opening squares are usually about adjustments.

Here are some key words for Jupiter Saturn alignments quoted from Renn Butler‘s The Archetypal Universe.

Virtues of maturity and balance, integrity and perspective, a regard for quality over quantity in life, step-by-step improvements and solid rewards earned over time, an understanding of the positive sides of adversity and challenge. Feelings of constriction and missed opportunities, the gilded cage.

Long term karmic rewards, Mitigating circumstances in times of trouble, the need for philosophical certainty.

Cutbacks and losses, a feeling of being trapped in bureaucracy, unnecessary administration and red tape, the inertia of large institutions, self-corporations and multinationals, the “progress ethic” leading to endless moral compromises. A conflict between one’s expansive and minimalist tendencies, the human oscillation between overweening pride and helpless suffering.

The first two squares involve a t-square with Jupiter as the apex planet in August and Saturn as the apex planet in December.

Saturn opposite Venus is indicative of rejection, accepting limits and learning maturity in relationships. Venus in Virgo is in both her own and Jupiter's fall, while Saturn is in her exaltation sign. Saturn has the upper hand here through various technical conditions and is able to hear Venus.
Yet, Jupiter is the apex planet, hence contains the solution to the struggle inherent in the Venus Saturn opposition.

As far as I can see, there is no release aspect like a supportive trine to Jupiter. So no constructive way out. Quite a bit of tension here.
What’s more, the square perfects during a full moon in Aquarius. Mars separates from a conjunction to Jupiter, which also includes the opening the square from Mars to Saturn happening a few days prior to Jupiter #square Saturn. 🤔

The Christmas Eve one is very interesting, with the Mercury/Jupiter opposition, as Jupiter is in detriment in Gemini, ruled by Mercury ....... which is in detriment in Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter .... Sort of like a bizarre feedback loop that cancels each other out!

Mercury would have completed a retrograde phase, the Mercury/Jupiter opposition is the third and final pass, and it perfects on Boxing Day.

Similarly, with the August 19th chart, Venus/Jupiter in opposition, Venus is in Fall in Virgo, and Jupiter is again detriment in Gemini. Both are ruled by Mercury .... which just so happens to be retrograde. Again!

There will be a Sun/Mercury Cazimi aspect earlier on the same day, which marks the halfway point of the retrograde.

So the first two have similar repeating themes, strongly involving retrograde Mercury.

It's like the detriment Jupiter Gemini, will be emphasised by a retrograde Mercury. Is it a To-mato? Or a Tom-ato? 🍅 whichever way you wanna call it.... 🤔

And then we have Saturn, in the sign traditionally rules by Jupiter! Will have to.ponder in that a bit more though.

Oh, I missed that one! Gosh, I’m not sure if I like that.

It certainly looks a bit iffy! 😮

On a tangent, it's rather odd that all three charts have the Moon in an Air sign, two in Aquarius, and one in Libra!

So it seems that there is an emphasis on communication, social dynamics, connections with others, relationships/groups, thoughts, ideas, could be a theme.

With Mercury and Jupiter so emphasised as well, including beliefs, philosophies, knowledge, learning, subjective thoughts.

The third chart, with Jupiter Cancer square Saturn Aries, only just noticed that Neptune is in the mix, and also square Jupiter!

I remember @etherea mentioning on another thread, I forgot which one so it's not verbatim, how interesting that Pisces is ruled by both Jupiter (truth) and Neptune (deception). Two extreme opposites, and both in square aspect.

In signs like Aries and Cancer, this feels more subjective and personal. Will have to think about that one, as we need to know what Saturn, and especially Neptune, looks and feels like in its new sign of Aries (with Neptune specifically, after 13 whole years!)

The recent Uranus Jupiter conjunction hit the degree of the previous SA JU cycle that began in 2000. That cycle was ruled by Venus.

During the first two squares between Saturn and Jupiter this year, Pluto will again be at 0 degrees Aqua, where the last Great Conjunction took place in December 2020. The current cycle is tradionally ruled by Saturn.

Very briefly summarized, the Great Conjunction heralds a reorganization of society and politics.
