Very interesting that the debris which becomes the meteors is apparently not left behind by a comet, but by a supposed asteroid.
Asteroid Phaeton (the alleged cause) was named after the son of Apollo who flew his father's chariot of the Sun haphazardly and caused parts of the earth to burn up and freeze respectively.
This asteroid deserves careful examination.
